A free, conversational tool that helps you discover books you’ll actually enjoy. No tech expertise required.
You don’t need to download an app; this works right in your browser. You’ll just need a free ChatGPT account.
This tool works like a guided conversation. It asks a few questions about what you enjoy reading—pace, tone, topics—and then suggests books that fit you. There’s nothing to install and nothing to figure out as you go.
What this is NOT:
- It’s not a test
- It doesn’t track your personal data
- It doesn’t require an email to use
- It doesn’t replace libraries, bookstores, or book clubs
- You don’t need to be “good with tech” to use it
How It Works:
-
Click the button above
- Create a free ChatGPT account (if you don’t have one)
-
Answer a few questions at your own pace
-
Get a personalized reading list you can use right away
What Happens After:
After you use the tool, you’ll have the option to get a short walkthrough video and a simple reading tracker if you want help checking your library or staying organized.
That part is optional—the reading list works just fine on its own.
Why I built this
I’ve always known quickly when a book worked for me—and when it didn’t.
Some books pulled me in quietly. Others felt like work, even when they were “good.”
I could name authors I loved. I could list past favorites.
What I couldn’t do was explain why certain books worked—or choose what to read next when my mood, energy, or life stage shifted.
That was the real problem.
Most book recommendations rely on shortcuts: popularity, familiar authors, or whatever everyone is talking about. Those can be useful—but they don’t account for emotional tone, mental energy, or how reading changes over time.
The breakthrough came when I found better language to describe how I read now.
Once I could name the experience I wanted from a book—comfort, curiosity, challenge—choosing what to read became easier.
This tool grew out of that insight.
Ready to find a book that fits how you want reading to feel right now?
This tool runs in ChatGPT. You’ll need a free account to use it — nothing to download.
